Our Story

Craig’s Fine Jewelry opened its doors in 1950 and is one of the oldest businesses on historic Main Street in Ridgefield, Connecticut!

The founder, Helen Craig, never imagined that her small family business would be what it is today. Her son Norman Craig and his wife Elsie began to grow the business by offering only the finest quality jewelry and impeccable service. They established a commitment to Ridgefield and its community.

In 1983, Norman and Elsie left the business to their three children. In 2004, their only son, Billy, became the sole owner. Billy has continued to build upon his family’s legacy by keeping Craig’s an integral part of Ridgefield and has created a nationally recognized luxury boutique jewelry store.

Today, with a selection of highly-regarded designers and an established reputation for excellence, Craig’s ranks among the top jewelry retailers in the country and had the honor of receiving the Centurion Jewelry Show’s inaugural Retailer of the Year award in 2013.

The spirit of a small town shopping experience is very much alive at Craig’s. You can feel it in the elegance and intimacy of our historic location, through the warmth of our devoted staff and in our philanthropic efforts to build a vibrant and healthy community.
